The Classic Steak Burger with Brioche Bun


1 Brioche bun glazed seeded & sliced
225g Homemade steak burger
Crispy baby gem lettuce leaves
1 Large vine tomato, sliced
1 Large gherkin, sliced

For the pickled shallots:
2 Large shallots, peeled, thinly sliced
1 tbsp Red wine vinegar

To serve:
Skinny fries or gourmet cheesy Parmesan chips
Homemade smoked garlic tomato ketchup


For the best burgers, simply mix steak mince with sea salt and freshly ground black pepper and shape. Griddle for 5–6 minutes each side or until cooked to your liking.

For the pickled shallots, simply mix together and set to one side for 10 minutes. Drain off the vinegar before using shallots.

Split the brioche bun in half and fill with crisp lettuce leaves. Top with burger and lay over tomato slices, gherkin and pickled shallots. Top with brioche lid. Serve with skinny fries or gourmet cheesy Parmesan chips and a bowl of homemade smoked garlic tomato ketchup.
